Together we are stronger!!

Hey

It’s Daniel here again with another exciting blog, exciting because today we will talk about the unity of our body.

Many of us fitness freaks train muscles by isolating them, which is absolutely fine!!

But how much of that strength is transferred to day to day activities ?

Not that much if you look closer into the biomechanics of movement patterns implemented in isolation exercises.

Your muscles are designed to work together.

And today I will show you how to activate them with simple tricks while doing push ups that will:

provide you with extra strength

✔grant more stability

prevent injuries

burn extra calories

build more muscle mass

I will now show you an example of how to activate those additional muscle groups while performing push ups.

When doing push ups we have our hand flat on ground.

Like this :

push ups - hand position

Fingers flat on the ground

But if we push our finger into ground like we want to grab the ground

push ups - hand position

Fingers grabbing the ground

That will activate our forearm muscles that will help our triceps during push we also grant some extra stability.

Same principle is with our legs by having ground with toes we activate calves.

In addition to the right position of your hands;

Never forget to position your shoulders in the right place.

By doing that we create torque that will bless us with extra stability and force generation.

shoulders

Wrong position of shoulders

shoulders

Correct position of shoulders

The motion you have to perform is to “screw” your hands into the floor (it is transferable on other exercises that include use weights).

There is loads of other examples but I’ll leave them for later when I get into more detail while squatting.

Another important aspect is the  core activation !!

That is a base of every exercise, your core is responsible for stability and force creation in your whole body !!

Practice and tense your abs while doing something else outside of gym, that will help you master your control over body 🙂

Activation of other muscles is hard in the beginning but once it gets a habit… it is like breathing.

Practice that with the method I mentioned above, and I’m sure you will be fine.

That’s it for now my lovely people.

Finally I hope you find this helpfull and if you want to know more about making your training more effective.
